Have you ever asked yourself – Is There Life After Death?

What happens when we pass away?

Can we truly communicate with the deceased?

You will find irrefutable proof of communication

with the deceased in “Beyond” by Desmond Long.

Des communicated over an 18-month period with his

Wife, a medium, who passed away in 2007.

He was shocked by the clarity and the extent

to which his most probing questions were answered,

and the depth of detail that was explained.

Nothing was off limits. What sort of questions were answered?

  • Where do our beloved animals go?
  • What happens when we pass away?
  • Do we meet our loved ones that went before?
  • The death of a baby
  • A daughter in spirit
  • Is there Heaven or Hell?
  • Why must we suffer?
  • Prophecy
  • Past Lives

A few kind words about “Beyond”

I have finished “Beyond” (previoulsy The Littlest Crusade), and must say it answered so many questions which other books on the subject have never answered. Furthermore it left me feeling calm and comfortable.

I feel it is necessary to read this book with both the intellect and the heart in order to gain the maximum understanding.

Of importance also is to take note of the major themes developing exponentially throughout.

I have been told that we cannot live life to the full until we really know what happens afterwards – when we die. Now I feel I can live life more fully. Now I feel more complete.
Frances Small

Intriguingly, Long himself apparently disagreed with a lot of what he was told, which makes unlikely the popular notion that “spirit communication” invariably comes from the communicator’s own mind.

Beyond” is deep reading for the open-minded reader. If you are such, I think you will enjoy this information…

From The Foreword:

I was being used!

Was I being set up as a channel for a carefully scripted message?

Who or what was I being turned into?

I demanded answers.

“BEYOND” is an explicit account of the first scientifically validated excursion into the after-death state.

Subjects include

  • the unborn baby,
  • nature of the death experience
  • prophecy
  • abortion
  • euthanasia
  • and prayer.

Written in Question and Answer format between the author and those he encountered, which include his daughter and his recently deceased wife, the author examines climate change, religion and the nature and destiny of humanity.

Who Is Desmond Long?

As a specialist in psychotherapy and neurotherapy using a trance state, and also teaching it, Desmond Long spent two years researching and using a breakthrough technique developed in stages by Francine Shapiro PhD (EMDR) and Allan L. Botkin PSY.D (IADC), two eminent American mental healthcare professionals. Their efforts made possible a scientifically established but sometimes sketchy contact with people in the after-death state.

Desmond modified and enhanced these techniques to enable them to be used by a person on him or herself. There was a reason for this. From the time he was a young child he possessed an uncommon clairaudient or psychic ability to communicate with deceased individuals. This was evolved over the years until he could enter into comprehensive exchanges of information, sometimes involving advice he disagreed with.

The use of simple analogies to make understandable complicated and qualified situations was developed and incorporated. All this was driven from “spirit”. The decades passed. Progressively the analogies increased in number and merged, forming a language of concepts which could be used by those on both sides of the divide. Long was able to receive perspectives he had never heard of, even as they were fleshed out and presented as a philosophical infrastructure. “BEYOND” was born.

By now the author (who denies even being “the author”) was using his modified version of trance neurotherapy, together with clairaudience, and compared the total experience with “sitting side by side with a person and taking dictation”. He was shocked by the events that had overtaken him, the intensity of the communicators, and the awful implications of some of the things they said.

His deceased wife, Val, was part of the process. Immediately she died in 2007 he “joined” her for an hour at a time every few days for nine months, discussing her environment and circumstances, and those of their stillborn daughter. As well he engaged the amorphous group who carried the dark message that was destined to be moved from one plane of existence to the other. Discussing his excursions, Long commented, “The whole thing covered the spectrum from beautiful to appalling to enlightening, as we explored the innermost secrets of the human condition that abruptly became available.”

Nothing in his background prepared him for this. Desmond Long was born during the Second World War in Blenheim, New Zealand, where his father was stationed before being posted to Guadalcanal with the American Air Force. The following 17 years were spent in the tiny village of Murchison, perched in the northern reaches of the Southern Alps, where he was the oldest child of the generation. Five years as a trainee in the Royal New Zealand Navy followed. Then came a career in marine electronics, which segued into psychology and eventually a fulltime practice.

Desmond has always “played with words”, and had a number of short stories published in the United States and Australia.

He describes himself as an open-minded skeptic who respects every viewpoint, but goes on to honor the belief structure he most admires.
